  • 2 cups Ngolo/perewinkles
  • 2 pieces uyayak spice (broken pieces)
  • 2kg palm fruit
  • 1kg meat/fish
  • 2 heaped tablespoons fresh/dried atama leaf (sliced)
  • 1/2 cup dried red prawns
  • 1 Medium onion bulb (diced thinly)
  • 2 heaped tablespoons dry grinded pepper
  • 1 Small smoked titus fish (optional)
  • salt
  • seasoning


Make sure you don't make the palm fruit liquid too should be thick.



Step 1
par-boil your meat of choice with onion, seasoning and salt with little stock left and set aside.
boil the palm fruit nut in water for 50minutes and then pound and sieve out the thick palm fruit liquid
Step 2
pour the sieved palm fruit liquid in a pot and place on the fire
allow to boil for 10minutes and then add the onion and dried red prawns
Step 3
add the 2 broken pieces of uyayak spice
Step 4
then cover and allow to boil for 15minutes
Step 5
add the grinded pepper
Step 6
add the par-boiled meat and the little meatstock
Step 7
pour in the ngolo/perewinkle
Step 8
add the dried or fresh atama leaves
Step 9
taste for seasoning and add seasoning and salt then allow to cook for 10minutes
Step 10
add the smoked fish
Step 11
cover and allow to cook for 2-3minutes
