Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons dry active Yeast powder
  • 3 1/4 cups All purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • vegetable oil for deep frying

Directions

Step 1
Slightly warm up the milk using a pot or microwave. (Just warm and not hot). Pour the warm milk in a bowl and add the sugar,baking powder and yeast, then stir, cover and keep in a warm place
Step 2
After 30minutes the yeast most have began to swell and look foamy
Step 3
Pour into a stand mixer and add eggs and butter then whisk on low speed
Step 4
Slowly add the flour while whisking with a dough hook
Step 5
Then mold and set on a floured table top
Step 6
Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1 1/2 inches
Step 7
Then cut using a floured donut cutter. Flour a tray and place cut donuts gently on the try
Step 8
Coverup tray properly using a cling film so no air gets in until dough doubles in size
Step 9
Then deep fry on very low heat turning from side to side until just golden brown
Step 10
Place on a sieve to drain out oil
