  • 3 Large egg
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil/butter/olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • salt


be sure to reduce the gas to the lowest when frying omelette. You cannot get a proper omelette with high heat.


Step 1
break the eggs into a bowl and whisk with a fork
Step 2
add salt to taste(i prefer to add salt this way than sprinkling after frying)

add the table spoon of water and whisk

set a small non stick pan on the fire(on the lowest gas heat possible. This is what can make or break any omelette ). And add the oil (properly grease the pan with the oil.

place your palm above the pan to feel the heat,and just when you can feel little heat from the pan, pour in the egg.Never allow the pan over heat before you add the egg

the edges should begin to set first. Do not leave it unattended or take your eyes of it.

And just as you can see the edges forming, place your omelette spatula by one edge of the pan

and drag to the middle of the pan

it should look like this

do the same dragging on the other edges forming

continue the dragging

then it all begins a big mass

flip the egg to set the top part

gently move around and turn to ensure every part is set.

you should end up with fluffy white soft omelette like this.
